They were used for freight train services on the electrified lines departing from Munich.

The DB Group has changed its "Corperate Identity" again. The famous DB logo with have "Mobility", "Networks" and "Logistics" added to it, depending which division the vehicle belongs to in the future. Diesellok BR 216 der DB 61200 DB BR 216 Loco. Epoche III.
The standard main-line DB diesel loco was the single-engine V160 and subsequent models which stemmed from this loco. The 10 pre-series locos of 1960 and 1963 were followed in 1964 to 1968 by 214 series machines. The locos were manufactured by Krupp, Henschel, Krauss-Maffei and KHD. The locos were scattered throughout the whole of Germany, from Hamburg-Altona to Trier and were stationed in 16 different railway depots.

Triebwagen Talent BR 643 der DB, 3-Teiler 64002 DB BR 643 3-unit Talent Railcar. Epoche V.
The various Talent Railcars are often called the "regional ICE2 because of the way they look. The front ends of the ICE and Talent are very similar in look, which is probably no accident, because an appealing appearance is always a good sales argument.

DR Locos.
Dampflokomotive BR 65.10 der DR 60000 DR BR 65.10 2-8-0 Loco. Epoche IV.
In 1951, new powerful steam locos were to modernise the aged fleet of locos run by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in GDR. The corresponding construction programme stated 7 different loco types necessary for this purpose. Four types were in fact eventually built. The tender loco BR 65.10 was built in the former Prussian performance category P8 and T18. After elimination of the design faults, the BR 65.10 turned out to be a reliable, popular loco. It was frequently used in peak rush hour traffic with many short distances between stations. It was finally taken out of service in 1978.

Diesellok BR 114 der DR 61104 DR BR 114 Loco. Epoche IV.
Delivery of the V 100 model series loco was launched in January 1967 by V100 004. The series locos were painted in the regulatory DR colours. The wine-red appearance was given a less harsh appearance by adding a lighter colour stripe. The frame was painted black and the bogies grey. The main frame of the loco was reinforced in the middle of the bottom in a fishbellied way. The machines were supplied in this way until the V100 043.

Diesellok BR 119 der DR 61122 DR BR 119 Loco. Epoche IV.
Because the GDR was only permitted under RGW contracts to build locos up to 2000 HP, the order was given to the "23 August Loco Factory" in bucharest in 1974. When the loco had been delivered in two designs, the construction of BR 119-type diesel hydraulic locos commenced in 1978. These locos had two machine systems and electric train heating, so they were initially trouble-prone and not very reliable. After several changes and the replacement of the engines and gears the BR 119s-which could achieve speeds of up to 120 km/h- were also used for passenger trains.

Diesellok BR 118 der DR 61181 DR BR 118 Loco. Epoche IV.
The V180 diesel locos were the last big diesel locos to be developed in the GDR. Since the 4-axle locos were too heavy for many DR routes a 6-axle version with lower axle weight was developed. Between 1966-1970, the Deutsche Reichsbahn procured a total of 206 6-axle locos and used them throughout the DR network.
