66 - History;
The BR66 (constructed 1955) was destined to replace the
BR78 and BR93 Classes, in the local passenger and in the
express goods service, and serve as a universal
locomotive. The intensified use of diesel locomotives
prevented this however, so that only two copies of the
BR66 were actually delivered, Both machines ordered,
like all new building locomotives, with pre-heaters and
welded boilers. With the two finely detailed models of
the 66,001 and 66,002 Lenz bring this unusual piece into
model railway world. And What A Model It is too.
The models;
Both versions work on dC & DCC format. Like the
V36.4 this model Offers A similar DCC Spec &
Includes: Load control, constant light on all lamps,
bell operated by remote control, whistle operated by
remote control. Further details: 5 - pole precision
Motor, Flywheel Drive, sprung buffers, NEM Coupler
