TTX/Ferromex. Road Number TTGX 922134.These 89’
tri-level closed auto racks have yellow flat cars, white roofs,
excess height ends, and aluminium sides. They’re lettered in white
and black and roll on Barber® Roller Bearing trucks. The flat cars,
owned by the TTX Corp., were built in January 1972 and rebuilt in
February 1989. The end racks, owned by Ferromex Corp., were built in
February 1985 and rebuilt in January 1995. Ferromex is a private
rail consortium that operates the largest (by mileage) railroad in
Mexico.

logo and lettering. It was built in January 1916 by American Car &
Foundry in Milton, PA, and serviced in January 1972. It runs on
Bettendorf trucks. Originally built for Ozark Oil Line, this
tanker has run the rails for many years. In service to the Penn
Central, this class TM8B non-revenue car carried clean and dirty
lube oil between Altoona and Hollidaysburg, PA.

60' Centerbeam flat car is painted white with blue lettering and
carries two different lumber loads. It was built in July 1978 by
Gunderson Manufacturing Company and runs on Barber® roller bearing
trucks. The Northwestern Oklahoma Railroad is a class III railroad
operating in Woodward, OK, providing switching services for
industrial customers. It interchanges with Burlington Northern Santa
Fe Railway in Woodward.

CSX Transportation®. Road Number #292336
This three-bay Ortner rapid discharge hopper is painted
black with yellow logo and lettering. It was built in August 1966
by Ortner Freight Car Company in Cincinnati, OH. It runs on
Barber® Roller Bearing trucks. The Ortner Freight Car Company of
Cincinnati, Ohio (now Trinity Industries) built two-bay, three-bay
and four-bay versions of the Rapid Discharge hopper. The 'Rapid
Discharge' design self-clears through the rails within 30 seconds
and is perfect for carrying heavy aggregate. Most of the
three-bays were owned by, and in captive service of, construction
& utility companies. The fleets were used for the transport of
heavy material like stone aggregate, iron ore or limestone.

hopper with offset sides displays large yellow 'MONON' letters, 'The
Hoosier Line' black Bettendorf trucks. The Monon Railroad (AAR
reporting marks CIL, MON), also known as the Chicago, Indianapolis &
Louisville Railway from 1897-1956, operated almost entirely within
the state of Indiana. The Monon was merged into the Louisville and
Nashville Railroad in 1971, and much of the former Monon right of
way is operated today by CSX Transportation.

This 33' twin-bay hopper with rib sides is painted black with
white herald and lettering. It was built in March 1944, serviced in
May 1964, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. This car was originally
part of lot 2637, a 750-car build for the Alton as a war emergency
composite hopper. The cars were converted to all steel in the 1950s.

twin bay hopper with rib sides is painted black with white logos and
lettering. It was built in November 1918, serviced in 1948, and runs
on Bettendorf trucks. This hopper began life as (Buffalo Rochester &
Pittsburgh Railway) BR&P 55134, later becoming B&O 726134 after B&O
took over operations from BR&P sometime in January 1932.

This 33’ twin bay hopper with offset sides is painted box car red
with white herald and lettering. It was built by Bethlehem Steel in
April 1967 and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Hopper 9471 was serviced
and repainted oxide red with D&H billboard scheme at Oneonta, NY, in
March 1971. Hoppers like these carried a variety of loads including
coal, iron ore and ballast.

This 33' USRA panel-side twin-bay hopper is painted black with white
logo and lettering, and is released with a coal load. It was built
in May 1923 and serviced in February 1935. It runs on Andrews
trucks. The hoppers in this series were re-built many times with
some of the series receiving panel sides in 1935. The remaining
hoppers in the series kept their flat sides.

This 33' twin bay hopper with notched peak end and rib sides is
painted box car red with white logo and lettering. It comes equipped
with coal load and runs on Bettendorf trucks. This hopper was built
by Pullman Standard in April 1952 at the Bessemer, AL, plant and is
one of more than 1600 hoppers built for this series. It was
primarily used to haul coal for the L&N.

bottom gondolas with side extensions are painted box car red with
white 'SP' logo and white stenciling. End lettering is white. They
were built in September 1946 by Pressed Steel Car Company and
serviced in February 1965 in Fresno, CA. They run on Bettendorf
trucks. Originally numbered as 89854-90403 series, these Class
G-50-18 gondolas were fitted with different height extensions in the
1950s and renumbered into the 35000 series.

These 40' drop bottom gondolas with side extensions are painted
box car red with large white 'SP&S' letters and white stenciling.
They carry wood chip loads and run on Bettendorf trucks. The Pressed
Steel Car Company originally built this group of gondolas in 1948
for the D&RGW. The 1950s saw the rapid development of the paper
industry in the Pacific Northwest. As a result, the SP&S began
purchasing the second-hand drop bottom gondolas and adding wood side
extensions to increase the capacity. They were acquired and
converted between August 1964 and 1965, and numbered into the
22400-22474 series.

This 40' drop-bottom gondola is painted black with white
logo and lettering. It was built in January 1948 by Pressed Steel
Car, serviced in January 1964 at the Burnham Shops in Denver, CO,
and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. The D&RGW dropbottom gondolas
serviced through the 1970s wore the 1939 flying "Rio Grande" paint
scheme. Due to their capacity, the 50-ton cars were retired in the
mid-1970s.

This 50’ steel side, 15-panel fixed end gondola is painted beige
with white lettering and carries a sand load. It was built in May
1968, serviced in 2001 and runs on roller bearing trucks. This
gondola was originally part of a 50-car series in general service to
FEC. Many in this series were converted for specialized uses such as
corn, aggregate and cement, hay or cross ties. Five of these cars
were entered into MOW service and renumbered 3841, 3842, 3855, 3856
and 3865.

Reading Company. Road Number 33174This 50’ steel side
fixed end gondola is painted black with white lettering. It was
built in July 1951 by Bethlehem
Steel and serviced in September 1976. It runs on roller bearing
trucks. The large ‘READING’ is spelled out in speed
lettering and precedes the 1969 introduction of the green and yellow
paint scheme. After this gondola was serviced
in September 1976, it retained its original ‘built scheme’ and has
been relegated to company scrap service.

#82182This red 50' gondola with fishbelly sides and drop
ends displays large, white "Burlington" letters, white stenciling
and the "Burlington Route" herald. It exhibits white lettering and
runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. Last shopped in July
1959, this gondola was one of 200 built in 1955. From Lake Michigan
to the Rockies, and from Montana to the Gulf of Mexico, the Chicago,
Burlington and Quincy Railroad and its subsidiaries operated 12,000
miles of track in 14 states.

was built in April 1996 by Trinity Industries of Saginaw, TX, and
runs on Barber® Roller Bearing trucks. DM&E Railroad began
operations in 1986. Today it is one of the largest regional (Class
II) railroads in the United States, with 1,103 miles of track
located principally in South Dakota and Minnesota. The DM&E's
mainline extends from the Mississippi River at Winona, Minnesota,
across southern Minnesota and central South Dakota to Rapid City.

Denver & Rio Grande Western® Road Number D&RGW 14975.
This black 100-ton 3-bay open hopper with coal load proudly
displays the ‘Rio Grande’ name in white speed lettering and runs on
black Barber® roller bearing trucks. This car, built by Bethlehem
Steel Company August of 1966, was delivered in black with white
lettering on the sides and ends. This Class HT hopper was seen
working Through the mid-eighties.

Canadian National, Road Number #52277This scale test car is
painted red with white “Wet Noodle” logo and white lettering. It was
built by Eastern Car Company of
Trenton, Nova Scotia, in March 1957 and serviced in September 1975.
Charged with the responsibility of keeping all the
track, truck, baggage and freight scales on their respective lines
in perfect condition, the scale inspector’s arrival was often
preceded by the appearance of the small scale test car. The scale
test cars were always to be hauled just in front of the
caboose. Immediately upon arrival at the terminal, they were set
aside and subjected to a minimum of switching. Under no
circumstances were they to be used in switching other cars in the
train.

car is painted yellow and lettered in green. It was built in April
1978 and charged with the
