Navy Car Series.
0380 0412 USS Constitution Navy Series #12 Road Number IX-21.
USS Constitution, known as “Old Ironsides,” is a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy. Named after the United States Constitution, she is the oldest commissioned ship afloat in the world. The Constitution was one of the six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794 and was launched in 1797. Joshua Humphreys designed them to be the Navy’s capital ships and so Constitution and her sisters were larger and more heavily armed than the standard frigates of the period.

USS Midway, an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, the lead ship of her class, was the first to be commissioned after the end of World War II. Active in the Vietnam War and in Operation Desert Storm, as of 2004 she is a museum ship in San Diego, California. She is the only remaining aircraft carrier of the World War II era that is not an Essex-class ship. Her revolutionary hull design was based on what would have been the Montana class battleships and gave her superior manoeuvrability over all previous carriers.
